Collectors looking for Mickey Mantle cards may want to take a look at this 1966 Mickey Mantle listing. It comes from 1966 Topps Rub Offs. eBay lists the condition as Graded. It is listed with a grade of PSA 9. The current eBay price is USD 900.00, listed by thecardshop518.
PSA 9 vs PSA 10 Context
A PSA population number could not be verified from the public cert page for this listing, so no population figure is being guessed.
Common reasons a card from this type of issue can grade lower include print registration, print dots or color defects from older production, corner rounding and edge wear from decades of handling and wax or gum staining, surface wrinkles and small creases.
For numeric context, PSA publishes an approximate PSA 10 centering tolerance of 55/45 on the front and 75/25 on the reverse. PSA describes a Mint 9 as centered no worse than 60/40, so a small centering shift can be enough to separate a 9 from a 10 even before surface, corner and edge flaws are considered.
PSA grading standards. Population figures change as additional cards are graded.
Condition Review Before You Buy
This copy is listed as PSA 9. The grade gives a useful shorthand, but it should not be the only thing you inspect. Check the label details, certification number, holder condition and the card itself through the plastic because eye appeal can vary between two cards with the same numeric grade.
With an older card like 1966 1966 Topps Rub Offs Mickey Mantle, normal age can make clean examples difficult to compare. Pay extra attention to paper loss, staining, creases, trimming concerns and signs of restoration in addition to ordinary corner and surface wear. eBay currently labels the listing condition as Graded, but the photos and grading information should carry more weight than the marketplace condition field alone.
Card Identity and Release Details
This page focuses on the exact 1966 1966 Topps Rub Offs Mickey Mantle, rather than treating every Mickey Mantle card as the same collectible. The listing provides useful identifiers including set 1966 Topps Rub Offs and manufacturer Topps.
Using the exact year, set and card number gives a much cleaner comparison than relying on the player name alone, especially when a player appears in many products during the same season. As a vintage card, it should be compared with cards from the same release whenever possible.
Why This Card Matters
The appeal here is more specific than the player name alone. Mickey Mantle is one of the defining postwar baseball subjects, and Yankees cards from his playing era remain central to vintage collecting. Topps and Bowman issues are often collected as core baseball references, so year, card number, rookie designation and exact variation matter when comparing value.

Recent Sales and Price Trend
At $900.00, this listing gives one current price point, but the exact match history is still too thin for a responsible six month trend calculation.
How to Compare This Card With Recent Sales
When researching a Mickey Mantle card, start narrow and widen the search only when exact matches are scarce. For this listing, try to match year 1966, set 1966 Topps Rub Offs and grade PSA 9.
Completed sales usually deserve more weight than unsold asking prices. If only active listings are available, treat the range as seller expectations rather than a confirmed market value. Compare the current USD 900.00 ask with that matched group rather than with a broad search for every Mickey Mantle card.
