If this card is on your want list, this 2017 Aaron Judge listing is worth reviewing. It comes from 2017 Topps Transcendent and the card number is AJ 89RB. For condition, eBay currently shows Ungraded. It is currently priced at USD 600.00 by seller santiago_sports.
Card Identity and Release Details
The important starting point with this listing is its exact identity: 2017 2017 Topps Transcendent Aaron Judge card AJ 89RB. The listing provides useful identifiers including set 2017 Topps Transcendent, card number AJ 89RB and manufacturer Topps.
Matching those details before checking prices helps avoid comparing this card with a different release that only looks similar in a search result. The listing also identifies this as a rookie issue, so confirming the exact release is especially important before using another rookie sale as a comp.
Player and Set Context
The player and release context are what make this card worth separating from generic listings. Aaron Judge cards combine Yankees demand with elite home run production, making rookie era cards and scarce parallels especially visible in the modern baseball market. Topps and Bowman issues are often collected as core baseball references, so year, card number, rookie designation and exact variation matter when comparing value.
What Can Affect This Card's Value
Before deciding whether the current price is strong or expensive, compare the characteristics that can materially change what collectors are willing to pay. The current listing is asking USD 600.00, so these factors are the best starting point for checking that ask against other copies.
- The 2017 release and how much collector demand exists for that year.
- Demand for the 2017 Topps Transcendent set compared with other issues of the same player.
- Whether comparable sales match card number AJ 89RB.
- The raw condition shown in the photos, including centering, corners, edges and surface.
- Whether collectors consistently recognize this exact release as a rookie card.
- The listed card features, especially RC, 70/87.
Recent Sales and Price Trend
At $600.00, this listing gives one current price point, but the exact match history is still too thin for a responsible six month trend calculation.
Condition Points Worth Inspecting
For a raw copy, zoom in on the front and back photos before buying. Check centering, all four corners, edge wear, surface scratches, print lines, dents and any marks that may be hard to see in a single photo. Ask for additional images when an important area is hidden by glare or a sleeve.
For a modern card, inspect glossy surfaces carefully because scratches, dimples, print lines and small edge defects can be easier to miss in listing photos. Chrome style and foil finishes can show flaws differently depending on lighting. eBay currently labels the listing condition as Ungraded, but the photos and grading information should carry more weight than the marketplace condition field alone.

Condition Points to Check
The main grade pressure points to inspect on this kind of card are corner sharpness and edge wear, surface scratches, print lines, dents or stains and factory print defects that affect overall eye appeal.
For numeric context, PSA publishes an approximate PSA 10 centering tolerance of 55/45 on the front and 75/25 on the reverse. PSA describes a Mint 9 as centered no worse than 60/40, so a small centering shift can be enough to separate a 9 from a 10 even before surface, corner and edge flaws are considered.

How to Find Better Price Comparisons
When researching a Aaron Judge card, start narrow and widen the search only when exact matches are scarce. For this listing, try to match year 2017, set 2017 Topps Transcendent, card number AJ 89RB and similar raw condition.
Use sold prices before active asking prices when both are available. An active listing tells you what a seller wants, while a completed sale gives a better signal of what a buyer actually paid. Compare the current USD 600.00 ask with that matched group rather than with a broad search for every Aaron Judge card.
