Why Collectors Care About This Card
The player and release context are what make this card worth separating from generic listings. Mickey Mantle is one of the defining postwar baseball subjects, and Yankees cards from his playing era remain central to vintage collecting.
Card Identity and Release Details
This page focuses on the exact 1977 Mickey Mantle card 7D, rather than treating every Mickey Mantle card as the same collectible. The listing provides useful identifiers including card number 7D, parallel Diamond and manufacturer Sports Deck.
Matching those details before checking prices helps avoid comparing this card with a different release that only looks similar in a search result. As a vintage card, it should be compared with cards from the same release whenever possible.

Key Price Drivers for This Card
Before deciding whether the current price is strong or expensive, compare the characteristics that can materially change what collectors are willing to pay. The current listing is asking USD 555.14, so these factors are the best starting point for checking that ask against other copies.
- The 1977 release and how much collector demand exists for that year.
- Whether comparable sales match card number 7D.
- The exact Diamond parallel rather than the base version.
- The Other 10 grade and how many comparable copies are available.
Condition Points Worth Inspecting
This copy is listed as Other 10. The grade gives a useful shorthand, but it should not be the only thing you inspect. Check the label details, certification number, holder condition and the card itself through the plastic because eye appeal can vary between two cards with the same numeric grade.
With an older card like 1977 Mickey Mantle card 7D, normal age can make clean examples difficult to compare. Pay extra attention to paper loss, staining, creases, trimming concerns and signs of restoration in addition to ordinary corner and surface wear. eBay currently labels the listing condition as Graded, but the photos and grading information should carry more weight than the marketplace condition field alone.
Six Month Price Snapshot
At $555.14, this listing gives one current price point, but the exact match history is still too thin for a responsible six month trend calculation.
Collector Checklist
The listing gives us a few useful card details. Sport is listed as Baseball, team is listed as New York Yankees and parallel is listed as Diamond. For a slabbed copy, the grade matters but so does the exact certification. Check the grader record and compare recent sales for the same card in the same grade.
Condition Points to Check
The main grade pressure points to inspect on this kind of card are centering, which is a frequent separator between high grade vintage copies, print registration, print dots or color defects from older production and corner rounding and edge wear from decades of handling.
Building a Useful Comp Set
The cleanest way to price this card is to begin with exact matches and avoid mixing unrelated versions into the same average. For this listing, try to match year 1977, card number 7D, parallel Diamond and grade Other 10.
Completed sales usually deserve more weight than unsold asking prices. If only active listings are available, treat the range as seller expectations rather than a confirmed market value. Compare the current USD 555.14 ask with that matched group rather than with a broad search for every Mickey Mantle card.

How This Card Fits a Player Collection
A collector building a focused Mickey Mantle collection can use the exact year and set to decide whether this card fills a missing release, grade or parallel.
Before buying, decide whether you want the exact card shown, the best condition you can afford, or simply one representative copy. That decision can keep you from paying a premium for a grade, parallel or feature that does not matter to your collection. Because this listing is identified as the Diamond version, make sure that variation is the one you actually want rather than a base card that may be easier to find.
